Up and running and exceeding the mark

MBA hits the ground running by completing the installation of three Ricoh VC60000 digital inkjet presses and gaining nine fully qualified operators.

MBA’s third VC60000 was successfully installed at its North London facility in April this year – asserting MBA’s position as the world’s largest provider of this state-of-the-art technology.

The elevator pitch is simple – it enables MBA to produce highly personalised and relevant customer communications at superior quality and speed. Client feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with one industry leader going as far to say “it’s a game changer”.

During the installation of all three presses, the Ricoh VC60000 Operator Training Programme was developed by Ricoh at the request of MBA to ensure consistent and high-quality output from day one.

The introduction of the new training programme has been so successful that Ricoh now uses it for all new VC60000 installations worldwide. The five-day programme involves a combination of both classroom and practical sessions, covering all areas of operating this new technology from rethreading reel breaks through to cut and stack operations, paper profiling, DFE usage and colour management techniques.

MBA is immensely proud to now have nine fully certified press operators with further training sessions planned in the near future.
